Ohio University has partnered with Vault Health to conduct COVID-19 testing as part of an asymptomatic testing program for students, faculty, and staff. Vault utilizes a painless, saliva-based PCR test which is highly accurate.
Testing asymptomatic individuals helps University leaders monitor the virus incidence among the campus community, providing information about infection rates and trends. It also helps the University identify and isolate positive individuals, with the goal of early detection in order to reduce the spread of disease and isolate potential outbreaks.
Under the direction of the Vault Health representatives, volunteers will help at the test location with checking in test-takers, answering questions, and preparing test stations. Volunteers will be required to follow all COVID-19 precautions at all times - wearing a mask and other personal protective equipment, practicing physical distancing, and washing / disinfecting hands regularly.
As a volunteer and an Ohio University student, you can test regularly at the Vault Health on-site location. You are required to test weekly (if living on-campus) or biweekly (if living off-campus).
